Anastasia State Park Adds Glamping For Moms Who Agreed To “Go Camping” Under Very Specific Conditions
Anastasia State Park has introduced new glamping bungalows, giving families a way to enjoy the outdoors without fully committing to the emotional paperwork of tent camping.
ST. AUGUSTINE, FL — Anastasia State Park, a local treasure known for its natural beauty, has rolled out a new way to "experience" nature: glamping bungalows. These bright yellow, Honeybee-themed units arrived in late March and were apparently so appealing they booked solid the first weekend they were offered.
Cape Leisure President Dan LeBlanc, who helped bring this "unplugged" experience to the park, explained that glamping makes camping "easy." Think AC, heat, queen-size beds, a refrigerator, and a coffee maker — essentially, all the rugged essentials for roughing it in the great outdoors.
Currently, three 16-foot bungalows are available, with three larger, eight-person units coming soon. LeBlanc notes this new amenity "pulls people into the state park that may not have come otherwise," exposing them to the outdoors, presumably from the comfort of climate-controlled luxury.
So, if your idea of connecting with nature involves more thread count and less mosquito bites, Anastasia State Park has you covered. Just remember to tell your friends you "camped."
