St. Augustine Assures Seawall Project Will Only Last One Toddler’s Entire Childhood

The bayfront will return just in time for today’s toddlers to develop opinions about parking.

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL – St. Augustine officials assured the public this week that the bayfront seawall project will only last one toddler’s entire childhood.

The project, which has transformed parts of the waterfront into a polite orange obstacle course, is expected to remain in place long enough for small children to grow into slightly larger children with better vocabulary and stronger feelings about traffic.

Residents are encouraged to stay patient, admire the Bridge of Lions from behind mesh fencing, and explain to visiting relatives that yes, it looked different last time.

Officials say the work is necessary, important, and scheduled to be finished sometime before the toddler in the photo starts asking for screen time.
