Who we are

The Local Lion is an independent local news publication covering St. Augustine and St. Johns County, Florida. The Roar Report is our weekly newsletter product.

All articles, photos, graphics, code, and other materials we create are owned by The Local Lion or our contributors and are protected by copyright. You may share links and short quotations with attribution. Republishing full articles requires written permission.

Satire

Some content is clearly labeled satire — see our satire policy. Satirical pieces are not statements of fact.

Paid features and tips

Some features (store purchases, restaurant promos, tips on Buy Me a Coffee) involve payment. Payments are processed by third-party providers under their own terms. All sales are final unless we say otherwise in writing.
